  • Yes I’m still here. I just don’t have much to say right now. IF you don’t have anything to say, don’t say anything. The corn is absolutely delicious, And a bumper crop of tomatoes. We’re just eating high on the hog. It makes me feel really good, to grow things that enrich our lives. Now I am experimenting with asparagus. See how that turns out. MY VIEW.

  • Yum!!!!!! Best summer meal ever is fresh corn and home grown tomatoes!!!

  • I like the way you have done that graphic at the top you’re getting real clever. I like corn but not tomatoes. Cheers Portia Somehow we have to advertise your site so that you can get a response to your my view, the one I wrote before didn’t come up.

  • Popped by (corn) to see what your site had to say as Portia directed me.  Home grown vegetables are the tastiest.  We do not have enough sun here to do that in our little town…hello from California

  • I love corn but sometimes it upsets my stomach…i do not blame the corn but my stomach…

  • Asparagus is my favourite veggie.  My mom, a city girl transplanted to the suburbs in the 50′s, learned to grow it quite well.  We always had good crops and ate it much like most folks eat green beans (called them string beans back then )  I had NO CLUE how expensive asparagus was until I married and set out to buy some at the market!

Good luck with your Asparagus growing….lots of patience is needed along with hope and trust in the future….as I think of it maybe EVERYONE should plant a small patch to teach them to wait for the GOOD things in life!

  • Oh and if you want more visits the best way to scare up readers is to blog at other sites at random…if you are lucky some come back!  ~ßJ~

  • Where I live on the East Coast of the USA the corn is sitting in the fields, turning brown from a long drought.

  • Not much to say here either! LOL
