We have here what is called air care. Once a year we have to take our vehicles to the tested for gas imissions. If your vehicle passes the test, you may renew your licence, and insurance. If you don’t pass. you must get it fixed, or no licence. Today I went and had it done, and passed. I don’t know if it does any good to cut down emissions, but it creates employment, and the government thinks their doing the right thing. It costs $24 per year per vehicle, so no garlic sausage for me this week. We have three vehicles, but they don’t do the motor home. Too big, ha ha.

24 bucks per year!!! thats quite a bit. Places I’ve lived in the past its only $5. Not sure how much it costs here but I think you only have to be tested every two years. Strange how it differs from place to place. I bet you’re glad that its over with for the year.

In Southern California, we call it spog testing. But we only have to do it bi-annually.
Nothing like that in Australia but reminds me of the M.O.T. in England that is not for emmissions but to make sure the car is road worthy. The only way they get tested over here is if the police pick you up for something else, then they can send you to a government place to have a complete check out. We are beginning to feel warm, so I am starting my indoor life. Had the air conditioner on today and yesterday. It is supposed to be 38 degrees celsius on Friday when we have to go out.
