  • I am not into rememberence day. The only good thing about it is, when I had a job, we got a paid holliday for staying home. I don’t need to have a special day to remember the dead. Nor do I need to make a big deal of it. Move on!

  • I agree, we do not like remembrance days and in Australia they really go to town on the 25th April Anzac Day and people march with their medals and bands play and crowds watch. Then they pray and lay wreaths. I think it is all a waste of time. Most of WW2 are to old or dead and have to go in cars, so to keep it up they are now including Vietnam. Matt and I never even bothered to collect the medals we were entitled to after WW2 for being in the Forces and Matt could have got the Africa Star as he spent most of his time in Egypt and surrounding Countries. We just wanted to forget there had ever been a war. Cheers Portia
