When I was a faller of trees, I worked in a lot of different logging camps. I will never forget this one, day up in toba inlet, north of Vancouver, bc.I was taken to a new patch of timber, which when I looked down, it was not strait down, but almost. When they made the road, they pushed all the hard pan down the hill, making it a layer of hard pan over the whole hill. You couldn’t walk on it without, slipping. I stood at the top of the hill, looking down, wondering if I should quit, I finally decided quitting, was not an option. So I went to work, making footholds with the axe where ever I had to walk. I fell the whole patch in this manner. When I was finished, I asked boss, how come you always put me on those goat shows. He said you will get your reward, but it will be in heaven. WELL THEN.
